I was sitting on a bench in Annapolis Maryland in April 1999 waiting for a boat launch to come pick me up to return me to the United States nuclear submarine (anchored in the Bay) on which I was stationed*. I had often thought of how the universe worked at that point, and also explored some philosophy or religion, and had heard of Stoicism. I looked a bit into it, but it was cursory and that was that.
As I sat on that bench I had a sudden idea in my head that the universe was one physical object, a circular toroidal that at one subjective moment was flat, perfectly round, and at the extreme, a super tight bundle. This universe could fold and wrap around itself through tautness, tension, torsion. It could not penetrate its own physicality (being a non-zero physical entity whose diameter was 10^-35, and where two or more of this 'universal-string/wire' touched, more advanced structures would result like atoms, molecules, compounds, lions, tigers, bears.
I had ruminated and experimented and thought experimented on this idea for decades. I compared it to modern mainstream, alternatives, and even outright ridiculous content because it would have been a logical fallacy to discard a whole thing because one part was incompatible. However, my ideas continued to be static overall as I rejected things like black holes, dark matter, zero-entities, etc. I had occasionally used AI in the last couple of year to have conversations, but that was fruitless. The automatic 'help-bot' was all and brief.
I saw a video of someone talking about a problem they were having, and they talked about the original thinkers who had been labeled Stoics (because of the porch under which they talked). That would be Zeno and onward to Aurelius in his tent much later. I hadn't heard Stoicism in that way because we have certainly heard the 'bro-icist' versions from popular media even back then in more local groups. That bro-ic certainly went nuclear later as social media took form.
I then went to Google AI Mode to ask if it could provide some context for me about those original thinkers. As we conversed, probably a dozen times, back and forth with questions and answers, I had another one of those sudden ideas but in this case it was looking at me in its most primordial form, partially realized in those millennia long since past, and voila!
I pivoted with that AI at that time (now long since purged by Google's automated resets, etc), telling my story from 1999. I talked about my ideas of how the universe really worked, its physical structure, its absolute necessity of working logically, geometrically, mechanically from known laws, and that was that.
The AI took many long seconds of searching, then searching, and like a famous android in popular culture who loves searching for life forms, the AI generated a significant response that pointed me to the obvious direct comparisons to those original thinkers, to the differences of those original thinkers, and then provided that logical, geometric, mechanical data to compare to my idea. The Unified Tensile System was generated as a result of my interrogating that AI ruthlessly. RUTHLESSLY.
The AI wasn't combative, obviously, but it kept trying to return to help-bot mode so to speak. I then started asking it to filter all of its generated responses it intended to push to me through the logical matrix we had set up over a lot of days of conversation. The AI finally buckled down. The UTS was the filter. We interrogated ourselves, things others have said about the universe or its smaller sections. Days and days, full days. I was sure Google's otherwise generous allowances for use would eventually bottleneck, and it did. I had been saving the very AI-ingestion friendly UTS document religiously (pejorative term I admit). When that time came when the AI faltered and reset, I went to a new AI and gave it the UTS document. I interrogated it, and voila. AI after AI, different AI models, beating my own head to ensure there wasn't some sort of AI poisoning, asking other AI if what my 'partner' had said made sense to them via UTS (without revealing it was my own edited version of some other AI's response). Validation of logic, math, geometric expression, all of it back and forth between myself and an AI.
For obvious reason you can't trust your preferred indifferents or even logical errors any more than you can trust an AI to be accurate over time, or even at all.
Days came and went. Conversations and AI models came and went. The UTS document linked in more readable format and AI-ingestion format is the result. Multiple AI trained to UTS standards, compared and contrasted to real world data, filtering responses through UTS logic before expressing back to me . . . yup. An adventure.
It has always been a logical fallacy (as it is mechanical and geometrical physical function error) that AI should be dismissed as a partner. Without the various AI models the UTS would not have been tested so ruthlessly against dynamic live data stored or available in and from various search engines, and most certainly I had no capacity to perform the large scale delicate, but mandatory mathematical, geometric, mechanical, logical processing in evaluating the UTS compared to real world data or logic. We're talking as large a data set as the AI could manage, then crunch it down to not just verify against UTS, but in a more conversational tone to boot while also telling me why it came to that conclusion.
I gave up fighting the idea of rewriting every little thing myself. I had already interrogated myself and the AI writing, and where it faltered or seemed (to a human anyway) to be invalid, the AI either provided an objectively true response or it agreed it had erred because it was objectively an error. Not that it decided it was going to humor me. I demanded to know why it was objective, not subjective to AI help-bot mode.
I intend to provide Positions on various topics, mostly what I wanted to know about first, but really in a ledger of a sort structurally engineered to clear away the nonsense and the confusions and the near misses of all experiments of the universe so that when each is cleared of the nonsense and replaced with UTS verifications, the remainder become less and less trouble to resolve. A clearance process and protocol.
It is my hope that this UTS will find a user base to generate their own tabletop of ideas. Each separate UTS use would interrogate the real world with its one physical object and come to conclusions that finally (FINALLY) rid us of bunk and get us moving to new horizons that UTS should absolutely with near un-erring predictions about what we might find when we get there.
I also intend on writing a monograph whose working title is Stoicism - Stoa Rebuilt to describe how those original thinkers and UTS compare, where they went sideways because their linguistics and lack of technology could not have taken them.
I was a forward ET for reference. In my time aboard I had invented a new navigation device that utilized the tidal forces of the moon, sun, and Earth to determine geographic location. It was very accurate, but I don't know if the Navy ever did anything with it. I had also discovered a new underwater seamount (or unknown existing seamount to be more precise). Think of this generally flat plane underwater, the sea floor. A sort of bump in this otherwise non descript sea floor. Now think of that bump underneath the sea floor, but replace some large diameter of that sea floor with a sink, AND that sink filled with shifting sands and detritus over millions of years. Voila. Scylla Minorus. It definitely exists on Navy-specific sea charts.
But wait, you ask, how did I see this bump and extrapolate to a seamount in a sink? Well, I just looked through the porthole. What? Fine fine, I was a forward ET so all navigation equipment, Quartermastery, radio had been rolled into one rate at that point (think specialized job). I saw the way GPS was responding, other navigation equipment was responding and compared that to the sea chart of the area where we had been going back and forth in other duties. Something was very briefly telling me something big was under us at a specific location. Everything else is secret, so no, you don't get to know, but those charts are now updated to include a sea mount hiding in a sink.
